Inspired by the poetic simplicity of traditional Persian Gabbeh rugs, this elegant blanket brings warmth, comfort, and timeless style into your home. Its rich, soft red tones create an inviting atmosphere, while the design evokes the charm of a hand-knotted classic.

Crafted from a wonderfully soft cotton blend, it feels luxuriously gentle against the skin and adds an extra layer of cozy comfort. Easy to care for and made for everyday living, this blanket combines heritage-inspired beauty with modern practicality — a true classic that will enrich any space for years to come.

Certified by OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 which ensures that the blanket contains no chemicals harmful to humans or animals.

The 1990s were a decade of profound change. With German reunification on October 3, 1990, history was made—an event that sparked euphoria and a spirit of new beginnings. Yet disillusionment soon followed: economic uncertainty, structural transformation, and recession shaped the decade. Many people sought stability in what was familiar and found it within their own homes.

Ethno-Inspired Living Worlds

Ethno style became a major trend. Designs from around the world—especially Gabbeh-inspired patterns with an oriental flair—found their way into modern interiors. The blend of oriental ornamentation and Western coziness reflected the spirit of the time: openness to the world went hand in hand with the desire for a private retreat. People brought the world into their homes.

Digitalization and International Connectivity

At IBENA, too, the signs pointed toward transformation. With the introduction of personal computers and email, digital networking began—a far-reaching revolution in everyday working life. In 1991, the company moved into its modern new facility in Rhede. Despite the global recession beginning in 1992 and the resulting challenges for the textile industry, IBENA continued to invest: from 1993 onward, modern Dornier air-jet looms upgraded production.

The expansion of business into Asia underlined the company’s international outlook. With its own production in China, IBENA opened up new opportunities in one of the most important and promising future markets.

New Structures

In 1992, Ralph Beckmann joined his father Josef Albert Beckmann to help guide the company through an economically demanding phase. On July 1, he was appointed commercial managing director. In 1993, the company administration moved from Teutonenstraße to Industriestraße, which also housed the “Home and Household Textiles” sales division. Werner Hoffmann took over leadership of this area in 1998, while Ralph Beckmann led the technical textiles division. At the same time, Josef Albert Beckmann transferred company shares to Ralph Beckmann.

Between Tradition and the Future

For IBENA, the 1990s were a period of transition: between analog and digital, between the domestic market and global expansion, between tradition and renewal. In a world in political and economic motion, the company demonstrated the courage to adapt—laying the foundation for the challenges of the new millennium.
